Kathryn Howard, known by the stage name KAY RAYNE is a singer/songwriter out of Berkeley, CA. She started her music career off in a grunge rock band as the lead female vocalist and keyboard player. She found more of herself as she went through college writing songs of her own. This led to a catalytic event; Final Cut, a vocal competition at Azusa Pacific University. This competition put her in front of three incredibly musically talented individuals (Lindsay Pearce, Linda McCrary, Scott Hoying) as well as an introduction to Mariko Pitts who was previously her PR agent.

Musically she tends to dig into the somber side of the soul, bringing out the deep, authentic feelings of pain, heartache, love, and loss, as well as awakening the fun and flirty side tugging at the seams.

She began her exploration of her music career in 2013 with James Gardiner at Pajama Studios. She worked under James' mentorship and flourished vocally as well as developed a whole new level of writing skills. Since then she has worked on her music at both Fantasy Studios as well as Pajama Studios, thoroughly enjoying the nuances of working in the Bay Area studio community.

KAY RAYNE also had the immense pleasure of collaborating musically with My Fair Rosalie in 2015 & 2016.

KAY RAYNE has had her music aired on 89.5 FM KZCT Ozcat Radio on the "Mornings with Blue" show with Erika Blue and Paula Telander on the "Women in Music" radio show series. You can find KAY RAYNE's music on her website under the "Music" link at the top of the page and on all streaming platforms.
